Beginning this Sunday, July 9th, the DOT will be pulling over, and possibly issuing citations to, individuals who are exhibiting unsafe driving behaviors. Some examples of unsafe driving include, but are not limited to:
  • Speeding
  • Improper lane changes, passing, or turns.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs
  • Using a handheld device while driving
  • failure to wear a seatbelt.
Please be safe out there, not just during Safe Driver Week, but every day!

Trained law enforcement officers will primarily focus on ABS and Cargo Securement. In addition to the primary focus areas, the officers will also be looking to ensure that drivers are in compliance with FMCSA regulations, service hours, and vehicle maintenance requirements and safety.
